#EndorseThis: Samantha Bee Addresses Ivanka Row And Dunks On Ted Cruz

Stop the presses! Samantha Bee agrees with President Trump…in theory. She’s just better at backing it up.

In today’s clip, the host of Full Frontal addresses the Ivanka Trump c-word controversy by apologizing to her audience for using a sexist term as an insult. She then points out that comedians, bred in backroom bars and trained via shouting matches with hecklers, should not be looked up to as paragons of civility.

Bee says that words are words, but actions are more important. Ironically, the quote is similar to what Trump told Megyn Kelly about “PC culture” at a GOP primary debate. However, 45 has shown that his actions – firing staffers on a whim, insulting leaders of other nations, and making liberals feel persecuted just for being themselves – are just as uncivil as any language he has ever used. We’re guessing Samantha will have a better follow-through.

Oh, and the Ted Cruz crack mentioned in the headline? You’ll have to play the video to get that. Suffice to say it’s short, elegant, unexpected, and perfect.
